iPad Value Study
There are many similarities and differences between using oil pastels and using the Layers Pro App on the iPad. First of all, oil pastels are much messier and the colors are harder to blend together. It's easier to blend the colors on the app because you are able to use your fingers. There are also a few similarities between oil pastels and the app. Both allow you to make artwork with very bright and vibrant colors which makes the image look nicer, and more appealing. Also, you can use both to make it look like the forms are on different levels. Also, both ways let you layer colors to make the artwork look like they shapes are actually 3D. Technology is useful in art for many reasons. For starters, it shows us there are many different ways that we can create art, not just with a pencil and paper. Also it lets us create art in a more modern way! Overall, I really like using the iPads because it showed me there is more than one way to create art, and opened my eyes to different forms of art.
